In February 2023, HDFC Bank introduced a large list of conversion partners for their Infinia and Diners Club Black customers. The partner list was long and distinguished and included airlines and hotels from around the globe.
Infinia and Diners Club Black partners list for conversion.

Now, HDFC Bank has notified that there will be changes to three transfer partners in the coming days. No email is sent out to customers, but there is a moving scroll on top of the transfer page notifying the change. Three transfer partners will see conversion change from 1 HDFC Bank Reward Point = 1 Mile/Point to 2 HDFC Bank Reward Point = 1 Mile/Point, basically halving their value in these cases.
The affected partners are:
- Turkish Miles & Smiles
- Accor
- Avianca Life Miles
Here is the screen grab. Incidentally, HDFC Bank had earlier on put this announcement, then removed it, and now it is flashing again.
I have to admit, with these conversions, most of the valuable partners will become at par. Amongst these partnerships, I value Turkish and Avianca miles the most, and I’ll be disappointed when they move to a 0.5-mile conversion. So, I’ll transfer my miles in the coming days to one of these.
Bottomline
HDFC Bank Credit Cards has put customers on notice for their Infinia and Diners Club Black Credit Cards, where they will see the conversion value of their Reward Points tumble into half if you transfer them to Turkish/Avianca miles or Accor points. The change will be effective January 15, 2024, so you have time to get this out of the way and make the most of the points.
What do you think of the change in the value of the points of HDFC Bank Credit Cards?
