Marriott rolls out new promotion: one free night after two stays through August 2023

Marriott has rolled out a new promotion on June 1, 2023, where the hotel chain is offering one free night certificate once you complete two paid stays at one of the thousands of Marriott hotels around the globe.

Marriott’s “Stay Twice, Earn a Free Night” Promotion

Marriott’s new promotion is aptly called Stay Twice and Earn a Free Night and is valid from June 1 to August 31, 2023.

The new Marriott promotion offers one free night (up to 35,000 points) when you make two stays on a qualifying rate between June 1 and August 31, 2023. You need to register for the promotion, though, which you can do here before you get started with your stays for the period in discussion. The stay has to be booked directly with Marriott on Marriott.com or other eligible channels. The Free Night Award will be added to the member’s account within three to five (3–5) business days after your second (2nd) qualifying stay and is valid for six (6) months from the date of issuance. A maximum of one Free Night Award can be earned during the Promotion.

Award redemption nights, including Points redemption, Cash + Points, or Free Night Awards redemption, are not eligible for the Promotion. So that you know, stays completed before Promotion registration do not qualify for this offer. Only one room per property is counted toward a registered member’s stay for the Promotion. Credit toward this Promotion is given for stays consumed at participating Marriott Bonvoy properties within the Earning Period. The Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection, Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott Executive Apartments and Marriott Vacation Club owner-occupied weeks are not eligible for this Promotion.

Free Night Awards can be redeemed for one night in a standard guest room at a participating property offering a redemption rate of up to 35,000 Points. Members can redeem or purchase up to 15,000 Points to expand the value of such Free Night Award.

To me, this looks like an excellent promotion to participate in if you will be directing “paid” business to Marriott hotels. The free night could be of great use for summer travel in India or across the globe.

Some of the higher-end Marriott properties in India (city and resorts) at which this free night could be used include:

Bottomline

Marriott has launched a new promotion called Stay Twice, Earn a Free Night for select members. It is a targeted promotion and offers one free night certificate after two stays from June 1 – August 31, 2023. The free night stay can be worth 35,000 points, or you can tack on up to 15,000 points more from your end for an even more expensive redemption. The certificate earned will be valid for six months.

  1. Yes, I too just to the points and infact I have booked a 1 night stay as well. I simply saved 31k of my points by using this free 1 night it’s super seamless I must say.

  2. Just a question out of context, what is the correlation between or the ratio between the rates and the points charged
As I see in this illustration Rates are very low compare to the points required?

  3. It shows the promotion has expired. Is it true?

    ‘A Note About This Promotion
We’re sorry, but there was an error in directing you to this promotion.

The reason for this error could be:

You’re trying to access a miles promotion and are a points-earner, or vice versa
You are not eligible for this promotion
    This promotion has expired
Updating your earning preference is fast and easy; simply sign into your account. For all other issues, please contact Marriott Bonvoy Customer Support.”

I get this on their webpage.

    • @Anand, it seems the promotion was released to everyone (while it was targeted). So, they’ve now decided to accommodate those who have already registered, and from there, only the initially targetted list.
