As part of their Black Friday 2023 Cyber sale, which IHG calls its Biggest Member Event, IHG was offering an easy 1000 bonus points if you download the app. This promotion has now been extended, through December 9, 2022.

Basically, you have to download the IHG One app between November 22 and December 9, 2022. The only pre-condition is you must have never downloaded the app before.

Beyond this, there is no activity requirement, such as having to book a hotel to receive these points. You need to download the app and log into your IHG One account. The time needed for awarding points can take up to six weeks for posting.
