Kingfisher might be gone, but there are people who have Kingfisher Airlines reservations out there. I had one for a couple of weeks back, and it took me a while to get it refunded because Kingfisher won’t pick the phone and the online travel agent I booked the ticket with was not going to make a ‘full refund’ till the airline did not update the ticket with instructions.
Kingfisher, being in the dire straits it is, will not offer to put you on another airline if you booked their rock bottom fares and now don’t have a flight. So, you are best up booking on your own on another carrier.
How to get your refund?
Kingfisher was being proactive this time around, and cancelling flights on their own, before the suspension came through. They were also calling passengers to inform of the cancellations, and when they eventually called me, I asked for the full refund, and they requested the TA to provide me with the refund.
However, if you don’t hear from them, you should drop an email to guestcare@flykingfisher.com with the details and ask them to call you back. This works if you booked directly or via an agent. If you booked via an online travel agent, you should also connect with the OTA to ensure they are on top of the issue. You should also be screening your credit card/ bank account statements to ensure you get your refund in time.
If you have an award booking, too bad, the miles are worth nothing as of now. But do cancel and get your taxes back at least.

i had book the ticket for kingfisher flight 9 month a ago

My 13k also stuck with Kingfisher for month now. The Flight was cancelled in November and had been following up until their Phone Number went out of service. But is there no Law in india that protects the rights of the customers. I guess I should also be sending a Postal mail to them.
Hi… They have put a new contact no 020-30293700 for their contact center. I spoke with them and they said that they have started processing the refunds now and i can expect it by end of feb or early march this year. However i am sending an postal mail stating the non payment of refund.
I had booked my travel from KFA for 18 nov from Delhi to Bangalore for Rs 15000 for my family. Till now no refund has come and when we call the call center (which also now is not available) always asked for some 15 days more.
How can they sit on our money for their Goof up
@vaibhav would you please write a letter to them at their office at the Qube, andheri east with supportings for a refund and send by courier. If they accept you have technically registered a claim with proof and take them to court if they don’t act on it!
Now none of their phone lines work :-(. I guess its high time to file acomplaint with consumer court. Any other suggestions
@Sathesh you could leave them a note on Twitter or Facebook. Those channels may still be monitored. I’ve found their Twitter team to be pretty responsive but I find no tweets from them of late.

It has been more than 60 days I had cancelled my KF tickets. i have made multiple calls (once evey 7 days)to them and every time they promise within next 7 days. Please suggest how to proceed from here.

@Ramya, please check on the kingfisher website. they don’t have any flights at the moment. your refund should have already hit your account.

I am not able to cancel my flight online @kingfisher site.
However, I have got a call from Kingfisher (Computer generated call) informing about the cancellation of the flight.
But how to approach for money re-reimbursement…is still a question…
@Vikram, now that they have cancelled the flight, the credit should come on your card account automatically. Please check with your bank

Thanks for the info. I have booked Kingfisher flights round trip journey from Mumbai to Chandigarh for 9th Nov – 15th Nov 2012. Now as their flying license is cancelled. They surely gonna not fly on that day.
Kindly guide how can I get my re-reimbursements for tickets.

@Vikram please cancel your tickets online or by calling your travel agent. The refund should come to you soon.
I had a booking with MALEV when they went under and ended up having to make a claim with my credit card company who fortunately reimbursed me as MALEV refused to do so.
Thanks for the suggestion. I have sent an email to them regarding my 10 Nov reservation. Will update once I get a reply or call from them.
Anyway to get Actual refund on an already cancelled fully refundable fare. Theyseem to send me in circles
