With the Government of India significantly relaxing the requirements to present testing results for arrivals into India, it was no different for some of the remaining states to start changing their requirements. Karnataka has been the latest to change its terms.
Karnataka removes RT-PCR requirements for Maharashtra arrivals
Karnataka had singled out Kerala, Goa and Maharashtra arrivals via plane or land to present a T-72 hour RT-PCR negative report to be able to arrive in Karnataka. So, anyone who got on a plane from these states, in spite of being vaccinated, had to have an RT-PCR report. Now, this requirement is being waived, for Maharashtra at least.
In a late-night notification issued by the Government of Karnata, it has been notified that fully-vaccinated travellers originating from Maharashtra will no longer be required to produce an RT-PCR negative report. The notification is enclosed below.
Take note, that Kerala and Goa originating travellers will still need to present a test report on departure for Karnataka as per the earlier requirements, with a T-72 hours sample collection done and RT-PCR negative report presented.
Bottomline
This is great news for those who frequent from Maharashtra into Karnataka (Bengaluru). Fully vaccinated folks flying from Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, etc. into Bengaluru, Mysore etc, will not need to be tested over and over before their flights.
What do you think of one of the last requirements standing being repealed?

I had sent this message to Chief Minister of Karnataka day before yesterday:
The present rule of having RT PCR of 72 hours for passengers coming from Maharashtra and other state should be removed as it doesn’t serve much purpose and have harassment to people. Subhash Agarwal
@Subhash Agarwal, Thank You. Unfortunately, the rule continues for Goa and Karnataka for now.
We’ll take it up
