3 more Air India Repatriation Flights from/to Toronto coming up in July 2020

It is no secret that the stoppage of commercial air travel over the past few months has left a lot of people stranded in India and also left a lot of Indians left stranded abroad. With this in mind, Air India was assigned the task of bringing back Indians from across the globe. Ideally, they are best suited for the mission given their wide-body aircraft portfolio. But Air India has been selling tickets on both legs for many flights, while the costs per seat were arrived at with the assumption that the outward leg would fly empty.

Air India Evacuation Flights

After the first set of VBM 4 flights sold out, here are 3 more flights being added for travel to Canada/back.

Flights to/from Canada to India

The new flights from Delhi to Canada will be operated on July 18, 22 and 25, 2020. The flights on the way back will operate as follows:

  • July 18, 2020: Toronto – Delhi – Ahmedabad – Mumbai
  • July 22, 2020: Toronto – Delhi – Bengaluru – Kochi
  • July 24, 2020: Toronto – Delhi – Amritsar

Flights for India/Canada and Canada/India will be bookable at 5 PM IST on July 13, 2020 (7:30 AM Toronto). However, try a short while before the scheduled time of booking and you have a better shot at booking a ticket.

This is excellent news for people who want to fly back to India. If you want to see how the flight experience will be, here is a flight report on the experience.

Do you think there will be enough seats available on the next round of Air India Evacuation Flights to keep everyone happy?
