I am sure we have all gotten done everything which we had been putting off for a lazy day by now in this lockdown. For me, while I’ve finally taken to cooking, I’ve still been putting off writing up a summary of what I’ve been up to during the lockdown.
News is we are all not flying for another few weeks at least. So, at LiveFromALounge, we have been trying to organise a few conversations to connect LFAL readers with some of the best brains in the travel industry. For the first such talk, we are happy to invite you to chat with three aviation industry stalwarts who have earned their stripes working at almost half of the Indian aviation industry (in terms of brands!)
On Thursday, April 16, 2020, we will have onboard Aditya Ghosh, Sanjiv Kapoor and Rahul Taneja. Here is a bit about all the three gentlemen and why it should be of interest to you to tune-in:
- Aditya Ghosh, who now sits on the Board of Directors of OYO, worked for about a decade at IndiGo as President, leading the charge of the airline. He had a huge role to play in building the airline to what it is today, the largest airline by Marketshare in India today. Brand IndiGo is one of the coolest and funkiest brands out there in terms of airline branding today.
- Sanjiv Kapoor, who is currently advising GoAir, spent years at SpiceJet as COO, having launched the famous INR 1 sales amongst other things. He later moved to Vistara, where, as the CSCO, he with his team built brand Vistara. Also, he had many different ideas executed, such as the redesign of the A320neo for a better paxex and launching the RetroLivery. At both airlines, Sanjiv also worked to make a transformational culture change as well.
- Rahul Taneja, the Chief People Officer at Jet Airways, and one of the last people standing when the airline folded up last year. Rahul helped many Jet Airways staffers find employment when everything was going south.
All of these gentlemen also have prominent social media presence in India’s aviation sector, which usually has been very closed to the outside world otherwise.
The intention is to have a conversation with all three, hearing about their stories in aviation, their highs and their lows and get a bit of colour on the current situation that we are all staring into. I can’t promise a crystal ball, but it should be an exciting conversation nevertheless. If you’d like to attend this conversation or just listen in from the comfort of your home, RSVP here and we will send you the details about how to connect.
After the chat, we will also be hosting a recording on our YouTube channel, so if you haven’t subscribed to our channel, do so now.
Hey would be lucky to find a seat and to hear the stalwarts of the industry
