Air Astana, the Kazakh airline, which has been operating to India since many years now, has decided to expand into Mumbai. Air Astana has been operating twice-daily flights to Delhi since 2004 with a single-aisle A320 aircraft, and now, it is time for them to enter Mumbai.
Air Astana, Kazakhstan’s flag carrier, will launch services between Almaty and Mumbai on June 1, 2020. Flights will be operated four times a week using the Air Astana Airbus A320s, with a sector time of 4.5 hours in each direction. The schedule for the flight is as follows:
KC291 ALA0705 – 1105BOM 320 12
KC291 ALA2205 – 0210+1BOM 320 46
KC292 BOM0310 – 0805ALA 320 57
KC292 BOM1205 – 1655ALA 320 12
An introductory promotional fare for the route is on offer until March 31, 2020, with Economy return tickets starting at INR 28,500.
Kazakhstan has been offering a 72-hour visa-free layover in Kazakhstan since 2018 when flying with Air Astana. This makes it an interesting choice for transferring from India given some of their low fares on many routes to central Europe, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia and other places.
Is anyone planning a journey into Europe with Air Astana then? Would love to hear the experience
VietJet is also commencing flights from Mumbai. Thanks.
