IHG Rewards Club, have launched their first quarterly promotion for the year, “Free Nights, Faster“. This task-based promotion, which is the IHG Accelerate promotion under a different hide, allows you to earn at least 40,000 IHG Rewards Club bonus points. The promotion is valid between January 15, 2019, and April 30, 2019. Participation in this offer requires registration on the IHG website by Friday, March 15, 2019.

The promotion allocates specific tasks to each member. You can accumulate at least 40,000 IHG rewards club bonus points on task completion. This allows you to move towards your free reward night(s) and redemption opportunities faster.

As per the promotion, I am getting 1,000 bonus points just from downloading the app and booking a stay through it. Ajay got a pretty meh offer. Just double points from the second stay. It is like he is being penalised for not using the last offer, or they were just lazy.

Here are some essential Terms & Conditions that you need to know about the promotion:

• You must be a member of the IHG Rewards Club and must register your member number before March 15, 2019, to participate in the promotion.
• Each offer/task must be completed between January 15, 2019, and April 30, 2019 (both days inclusive)
• The bonus points can be used for Reward Nights, merchandise, and other redemption opportunities.
• A qualifying stay, which includes most business and leisure rates at participating hotels is required to earn bonus points.
• Only one room per member per Qualifying Stay will be awarded the applicable bonus points, or other benefits (if any) available under the applicable Offer.

Bottomline

This is an okay promotion, but no harm in registering, even if you don’t have any IHG Stays planned in the coming days. Registering does not cost a dime, and you won’t forget to sign up later when you end up staying at an IHG Hotel.
