AirAsia currently flies to 21 destinations with its fleet of 19 Airbus A320s within India. You can also fly international from Amritsar, Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, New Delhi, Trichy and Visakhapatnam on AirAsia group airlines. From these cities, you can connect to over 130 destinations across AirAsia’s vast network through their hubs. AirAsia is currently running the AirAsia Big sale across its entire network. Fares start at INR 999/- for Domestic flights and INR 1399/- for International flights.
The sale has been extended for a few days. Specifically, it is according to the travel period. For travel from September 3, 2018 to February 17, 2019 the sale ends on September 16, 2018. Whereas for travel from February 18, 2019 to November 23, 2019 it ends on September 11, 2018. That’s right, it closes early if you are travelling later next year, but the discounts are bigger!
I found some amazing deals, for example during Diwali you can book a roundtrip to Bali from New Delhi for INR 29K roundtrip Economy. The economy price is a low fare price so you will have to buy the add-ons like baggage allowance, seat booking and meals. But you can add the Value Pack while booking the tickets for a nominal price which can get you a 20 kg baggage allowance, a meal and a standard seat selection.
Or you can book the Premium Flatbed which is AirAsia’s version of Business Class for just INR 55.7K roundtrip.
Or you can fly to Perth from Chennai on Premium Flatbed seat for INR 58K round trip.
Let me add some jaw droppers here now:
- Delhi – Perth Return August 2019 is INR 22K
- Bhubaneswar – Perth Return August/September 2019 is INR 18K
- Jaipur – Kuala Lumpur Return in April 2019 is INR 7K
- Amritsar – Kuala Lumpur Return in April 2019 is INR 7K
- Jaipur – Ho Chi Minh City Return in April 2019 is INR 13K
- Jaipur – Bangkok Return in April 2019 is INR 9K
You can search these flights on Google flights but it will only show the low fares and not the Premium Flatbed fares and it won’t show you how many seats are currently available for that fare or the cost of various add-ons. So I would recommend you to directly search them on AirAsia’s website since its quite easy to navigate.
Bottomline
If you are planning on a backpack tour in far-east and are in search for cheap fares or you are planning on going to Australia or you want to score a flatbed seat for cheap now is the time. Act fast before it’s late.
