Hilton Honors have been a long time partner with Citibank for transfers of Citi points to the Hilton accounts. The partnership in India started with PremierMiles in 2013 and continued with the launch of Prestige in 2014.

Recently, however, Hilton Honors has decided to take their co-brand collaboration in the USA to American Express. As a result, they’ve decided they won’t be supporting transfers from Citibank credit cards anymore. They are, as a result, discontinuing their partnerships with Citibank around the globe.

The same fate for Citibank customers in India as well, which includes Citibank PremierMiles Credit Card and Citi Prestige. Some of you would have already heard from Citibank, and some will over the next few days. It says,

Effective 7th December 2017, our global partnership with Hilton Hotels & Resorts will be discontinued, and you will no longer be able to transfer your reward points to your Hilton HHonors account. In case you wish to convert your existing reward points into Hilton HHonors Bonus Points, please contact us before 7th December 2017.

It is simple and straightforward, hence. If you have any stays you’d like to plan with Hilton Honors points and are banking on transferring from your Citibank points accounts, you only have until December 5, 2017, to implement the transfer.

Citi Prestige transfers to Hilton at 1 Citi Point = 6 Honors points, and Citi PremierMiles transfers as 1 PM = 1.5 Honors Points.

In the USA, the dates are slightly different but again in December 2017. I am sure other regions with Citi cards have also received similar communications.

I’m advising you to not wait until the last day but initiate a transfer earlier than that to ensure you get your mileage transfer completed. So act now or over the next few weeks to ensure you get your transfers completed in time.
