Vistara 25%-30% sale (including Biz) for flights till September 30, 2016

There has been a long season of sale fares over the past couple of weeks. There was a GoAir/Air India sale, there was an Indigo sale, and there was a Jet Airways sale. The newest player in the Indian skies, Air Vistara, is now offering a discount promotion to fill up seats during the lean quarter of July to September. How is this better than everyone else? They are throwing all their categories on sale.

The Air Vistara 25% off Sale (+5% off direct)

Air Vistara is offering a flat 25% off on flights across their network, on all sort of seats including Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class. Fares start from INR 1099, which can be found on the Mumbai – Goa sector, on booking direct. There is an exhaustive list of fares presented on the website as well. Remember, however, that the fares published are only base fares (no fuel surcharges) and exclude all other taxes and charges components. Also, the fares are valid only on direct flights, not on connections.

When you book direct via the Vistara website or apps, you get an extra 5% off. So when I tried booking the same ticket via ClearTrip, it showed a fare of INR 1199 ex taxes.

Have a look at a sample booking I tried to make between Mumbai and Goa, which reflects the charges are all towards airport and statutory charges.

Bottomline

If you do want to try flying Vistara, this is a great time to book a ticket with them. However, if you just want to get somewhere and are indifferent to the carrier, I notice there are lower fares on other carriers as well, including Jet Airways and GoAir. The Vistara sale is on between June 08 and June 10, 2016.
