The Intercontinental Group has unveiled the list of hotels participating in the IHG Rewards Club PointBreaks for the first quarter of 2016. With the PointBreaks promotion, you can book rewards per night at a select few hotels for only 5,000 IHG Rewards Club points. IHG’s PointBreaks is one of the best values in points promotion as hotels in many of these locations cost at least $80 or 20,000 points per night. IHG releases the list of PointBreaks hotels every quarter and this list is valid for stays from January 25, 2016 through April 30th 2016.

Even though the Intercontinental Hotel Group runs hotels under 9 brands worldwide, under this promotion you will see mostly see the Holiday Inn and the Crowne Plaza brands feature.

I’d like to remind you that each member may only book two PointBreaks Reward Nights reservations per hotel, though there is no limit to the number of times one can book via the PointBreaks offer. Also, bookings are open under PointBreaks only for stays till April 30, 2016.
Bottomline: Personally, I have seen better. I’ve had the InterContinental Marine Drive, Mumbai for 5,000 points. So, I won’t be redirecting my routes to stay at any of these hotels in the coming days unless I am already in those places at that time. However, I still think it is worth taking a look at the list in case you wanted to plan a break to Naples or Barcelona. There are hotels participating in some interesting destinations around the world.
