These flights affected due to Pakistan Airspace Closure

The Pakistan Airspace Closure this morning has thrown traffic off guard across the board for a lot of airlines which operate across the Asia Pacific region. Here is an update of all the flights that I could track all of today which have been impacted. Expect longer flights for the next few days as this situation develops further.

Thai Airways

Due to Pakistan airspace closure, all flights from Bangkok to Europe departing near midnight of 27 February through early 28 February have been cancelled. Also, the other flight cancellations are as follows:

  • TG931/27Feb Paris-Bangkok

  • TG345/TG346/27Feb Bangkok-Lahore v.v.
  • TG349/TG350/27Feb Bangkok-Islamabad v.v.

Those are some of the flights I could capture at the moment. I am sure there are other flights, and if you know about one, do drop in the comments section.

The impact of this move is that a lot of flights will have to take a longer routing now if they are originating in Northern India or were supposed to earlier overfly over Pakistan. So be prepared for longer paths over the coming days.

Comments

  1. Thanks Ajay for editing / adding all the flights that I had mentioned in your previous article in the comments. We were also paid a visit by an Aeroflot flight here in Delhi , enroute Phuket , for refuelling.
