The offer is built around the long-running Marriott Bonvoy x Emirates Skywards Preferred Partnership, which allows eligible members of both loyalty programmes to earn rewards across both hotel stays and flights. What is the Marriott Bonvoy x Emirates partnership?
The Marriott Bonvoy and Emirates Skywards Preferred Partnership allows members to link their loyalty accounts and unlock reciprocal earning opportunities and elite benefits.
Eligible Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite, Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite and Ambassador Elite members earn 3 Marriott Bonvoy points per US Dollar spent on eligible Emirates flights, in addition to the Skywards Miles they would ordinarily receive.
On the hotel side, Emirates Skywards Silver, Gold and Platinum members earn 1 Skywards Mile per US Dollar spent on eligible Marriott stays, while continuing to earn Marriott Bonvoy points as usual. Depending on status, Emirates elites can also receive benefits such as priority Elite check-in, complimentary premium internet access and late checkout at Marriott properties. Likewise, Marriott Platinum Elite members and above receive priority check-in and boarding when flying Emirates on eligible tickets.
The partnership was further expanded to allow members to transfer currencies in both directions. Marriott Bonvoy points can be converted to Emirates Skywards Miles at a 3:1 ratio, with the familiar 5,000-mile bonus for every 60,000 Bonvoy points transferred. Emirates Skywards Miles can also be converted back into Marriott Bonvoy points, giving members greater flexibility depending on whether their next redemption is in the air or on the ground.
The new 5,000-point promotion
Under the latest offer, members who link their Marriott Bonvoy and Emirates Skywards accounts and register for the campaign can receive 5,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points after completing one eligible paid stay during the promotional period. The promotion is valid between July 15, 2026 and September 30, 2026, 11:59 pm EDT.
This is in addition to the regular Marriott Bonvoy points earned for the stay, making it an attractive promotion even if you only have a single Marriott booking planned. A bonus of 5,000 Bonvoy points is often enough to meaningfully reduce the cost of a future redemption or top up an account for an award booking. Remember, your participating Marriott Stay should be booked via Marriott.com or via a luxury travel advisor.
