Marriott Bonvoy has just revealed its newest promotion, which enables members to earn bonus points on eligible stays around the world between August 13 and October 18, 2020. The new promotion enables members to earn 2,500 Marriott Bonvoy points from the first stay onwards.
Marriott Bonvoy Views with a Bonus Promotion
Marriott’s new promotion, Views with a Bonus, requires registration before your first stay, but it comes across as better than some of the earlier promotions. For every paid stay that you make between August 13 – October 18, 2020, you will receive 2,500 bonus points. Stays could have been booked before, but, you will need to register for the promotion before your first checkout.
The promotion offers an additional bonus of 5,000 bonus points on your third stay as well. The key difference from earlier such promotions is that this one kicks in for the first stay as well while mostly Marriott has been offering bonuses from second stay onwards in the past. There is no limit to how many bonus points you can earn under this promotion. The promotion works best, however, on short stays.

Hi Ajay, Thanks for the advice. I did and they registered me for the promotion from their end. I have one more query. I would be glad if you could help me with it. I am just new to hotel loyalty programs and planning to start with Marriot and this is going to be my first stay.
I am holding a club marriot membership which came with my HDFC Infinia card which I haven’t used yet. They have given me some certificates for 30% off and for upgrades. I need to use the promo code “MZ7” for availing the discount certificates while booking in the marriot website.
So will that be a “qualifying rate” for this promotion?
if it is, will I be able to use the upgrade certificate for the same stay ?

“nights spent while redeeming an award are not eligible for bonus points.” and “this promotion will earn 2,500 bonus points per eligible paid stay, plus a one-time bonus of 5,000 additional points after 3 eligible paid stays.”
Biggest bummer is stays through October 18, 2020 are only eligible. Most of the Marriott hotels are/were used for COVID quarantine cases.
