You can now earn Club Vistara points for your Taj Hotels stays

Vistara has been expanding its list of Club Vistara partners over a period of time, and they now have a reasonable assortment of hospitality, retail, co-brand, banking and other partners as can be seen in the list enclosed below:

Now, there is one more partnership added to the list, something one would believe would have happened much earlier. Vistara has entered a partnership with The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) for its loyalty programme, Club Vistara (CV). Effective October 19, 2020, Club Vistara members can earn three CV Points for every INR 100 of eligible spends on a stay at Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta Hotels, and amã Stays & Trails.

The airline has also rolled out an introductory offer, whereby CV members can earn 2x CV Points (six CV Points) on eligible spends at IHCL hotels until November 30, 2020 (inclusive of the booking and stay dates).

Benefits of the new partnership are applicable on bookings directly made with IHCL online via www.tajhotels.com, www.seleqtionshotels.com, www.vivantahotels.com, www.amastaysandtrails.com, via Reservations (24×7) on 1-800-111-825, or directly at the hotels by quoting their CV ID at the time of check-in at the hotel. You can also book via Virtuoso for added benefits.

Club Vistara members who are also Taj InnerCircle members, can choose to earn either Taj InnerCircle points or Club Vistara Points, but not both. Unless specified, Taj InnerCircle points will be the default point-earning option.

Club Vistara Points can be earned only on eligible spends or charges. Eligible spends or Eligible charges are charges incurred on eligible room rates. These do not include charges on Room rates for group bookings, conferences, weddings, and events, room rates for airline staff and crew, Friends & Family rate or Employee rates, Room rates for rooms booked as office space, Complimentary rooms or charges which are settled using Taj Experiences Gift Cards or Taj InnerCircle points.

Some members have already started to ask for better-earning rates, but here is the thing, you earn 4 TIC points as a base category member, and the comparison should be 3 CV points v/s 4 TIC points. Hotel companies will always have their own programme ahead because that allows them to keep the liability on their books, as compared to paying to another party which is cash outflow at the end of the month.

Vistara has also rolled out exclusive offers for customers booking their stays at IHCL properties across Delhi, Mumbai, and London. At two of the Taj hotels in London, St. James’ Court and Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites and Residences, and at select hotels in Delhi and Mumbai, travellers can enjoy benefits such as attractive room rates, complimentary suite upgrades, and early check-in on arrival, when flying Vistara.

What do you make of the new partnership between Vistara and Taj Hotels? Would you credit your Taj stays to your Vistara account?
